Nurturing Emerging and Future Industry Leaders: Eight New Industrialisation Elite Enterprises Recognised

(Hong Kong, 20 October 2026) – The “New Industrialisation Elite Enterprises Nurturing Scheme” (the Scheme) , which is advised by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, implemented by the Hong Kong New Industrialisation Development Alliance, and served by the Hong Kong Productivity Council as its secretariat, today held its Inaugural Presentation Ceremony. The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor SUN Dong, JP and the Permanent Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Mr. Kevin CHOI, JP attended as guests of honour to present the honorary titles.

Echoing the direction set out in Hong Kong’s First Five-Year Plan and the 2026 Policy Address to accelerate the development of a new industrialisation system, the Scheme aims to nurture leading enterprises in emerging and future industries for Hong Kong. Following careful assessment by the assessment committee, eight (8) enterprises were selected from over 100 nominations and awarded the honorary title of “Hong Kong New Industrialisation Elite Enterprise”. Through the platform provided by the Scheme, the selected enterprises will be able to more effectively access market resources and forces, enabling them to play an important role in advancing new industrialisation in Hong Kong.

The nominated enterprises span a wide range of business sectors, including life and health technology; AI and robotics; semiconductors and smart devices; digitalisation, upgrading and transformation; as well as future and sustainable development. They also include enterprises from industries with traditional strengths that leverage innovation and technology for upgrading and transformation, fully reflecting the diverse vitality and thriving ecosystem of Hong Kong’s new industrialisation development and demonstrating the city’s solid foundation for nurturing emerging and future industries and fostering the development of new quality productive forces.

The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor SUN Dong, JP, said: “The selected enterprises are of particular significance to Hong Kong’s new industrialisation development. First, they are from strategic sectors focused by the HKSAR Government, including life and health technology, AI and robotics, semiconductors and smart devices, as well as digitalisation and upgrading and transformation etc. Second, they represent a diverse spectrum of enterprises, ranging from well-established local brands and century-old businesses, to university spin-offs commercialising research and development breakthroughs, and emerging companies that have recently established a presence in Hong Kong to expand into local and international markets. Together, they demonstrate the diverse vitality and thriving ecosystem of Hong Kong's new industrialisation development.”

As the implementation agent of the New Industrialisation Elite Enterprises Nurturing Scheme, the Hong Kong New Industrialisation Development Alliance proudly congratulates the eight enterprises selected for this prestigious honour. The Alliance looks forward to seeing these elite enterprises continue to sustain their innovative edge and leadership for more outstanding enterprises, driving forward a wave of excellence that will propel Hong Kong’s new industrialisation and high-quality development to a new milestone.
