Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, Hong Kong New Industrialisation Development Alliance and Hong Kong Productivity Council (collectively “we”) are committed to collecting, using, storing and handling all personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the Laws of Hong Kong) (“PDPO”).
- Purposes of Collection of Personal Data
Personal data collected through this website, nomination forms, supporting documents, email, hotline and other channels will be used for the following purposes:
- Processing and assessing nominations under the New Industrialisation Elite Enterprises Nurturing Scheme (NIES);
- Carrying out administrative, secretariat and assessment functions of the Scheme;
- Necessary communication, identity verification and follow-up with nominating organisations, nominated enterprises and their key personnel;
- Conducting professional assessment, background checks, due diligence and related reviews;
- Compiling statistical data, conducting feedback surveys, research and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the Scheme and for continuous improvement;
- Fulfilling statutory or administrative duties of the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau or other relevant government bureaux/departments under the Scheme.
- Disclosure of Personal Data
Personal data provided by you will not be disclosed to any third party outside of us unless with your consent or as permitted or required by the PDPO. Your personal data may be transferred or disclosed to the following parties where necessary for performing the functions of the Scheme:
- Members of the NIES Assessment Committee;
- Third-party organisations engaged to conduct professional assessment, due diligence and financial review;
- Other relevant government bureaux, departments or statutory bodies;
- Service providers engaged to support the Scheme (all such service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements).
- Storage and Security of Personal Data
All personal data collected will be stored securely. We have implemented reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect the data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, modification, use, disclosure or loss.
- Access to and Correction of Personal Data
